About the Portland Teen Idol Logo

The current logo was created by Adrian Adel, a graphic designer that has provided art work
for Dark Wing Productions including most recently, M'chel Bauxal's high fashion makeup
application DVD.  Adrian created both the DVD case cover and DVD graphic.

A couple variations that were being reviewed include:

The final choice was based on the colors, order of the wording and feedback from former
Portland Teen Idol Finalists, Dennis Gleason (the Executive Producer) and M'chel Bauxal.

The reason for a change in logo were four fold.  One, to separate the original program from
the new one being owned and produced by Dark Wing Productions instead of the City of
Portland.  Two, to match the colors with the Dark Wing Productions logo. Three to
incorporate colors that were more "Teen" or "Child" friendly using primary colors and
finally, the former logo to closely matched the American Idol TV show logo font, look & feel.

The original logo from Season 1 thru 4 (2007 thru 2010), was created and used by the City
of Portland and it's Portland Parks & Recreation.  PTI was only a teen program at the time.
