2: Print out and complete the Paper application including your parent's signatures (HERE)
3: Record the first few seconds of your audition with a slate:
"MY NAME IS [FULL NAME] AND I'M TRYING OUT FOR SEASON 10 OF TEEN IDOL AND I
WILL BE SINGING [SAY SONG TITLE] BY [SAY ARTIST]"
Then record your 60 to 90 second audition video singing acapella - no music or instruments.
4: Upload the video to YouTube or other public video posting site.
Name it like this: Jane Doe S10 Teen Idol Audition Video 4-15-2016
5: Email us the URL to your watch your video - Subject the email with:
[Your Name]S10 Teen Idol Audition Video
Email it to JenRushen@TeenIdol.org and Dennis@TeenIdol.org
If you plan to submit more than one audition - ie Spanish, Russian, Standup and English, simply record your
60-90 second song or 4-6 min standup set and post online with a new intro stating which contest you are
auditioning for and include the links to all of your online auditions in one email.
DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN 1 VIDEO PER CONTEST - we will automatically decline your application.
Only the applicant can sing/perform. No friends, family or substitutes and nobody else in the video.

name, phone number and URL to your video(s) to S10Entry@TeenIdol.org
G] LIKE the Teen Idol Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/NationalTeenIdol and share that
you just entered to compete in Season 10 of Teen Idol (dont' forget to add #TeenIdol and ask
your friends to also tryout at www.TeenIdol.org.
We will email you confirmation of your audition video submission and email you back Round 1
instructions if you make it through.
VIDEO AUDITIONS - May 2nd cutoff (extended)
Round 3 Finals (determines top 5 including winner) 6/25 at Lake Oswego High School
Tour includes all languages and standup throughout Oregon and SW Washington performing at
various parks, venues and events. The Portland Parks & Recreation's "Movies in the Park" and the
Oregon State Fair are some of our common performance locations.
May include outings such as hiking, going to the beach, concerts, movie nights and other fun team
Teen Leadership Council students, Alumni members and volunteers may accompany or support
HOW WE DECIDE THE FINALISTS
Spanish, Russian and Standup contests will be selection of the Winner at a competition round or
selected base on auditions.
For the English competition, generally the judges score the students as they perform. At least 10 go
through based on score. Up to 5 more will be selected by the producer and directors and may be
combination of previous scores, history with the organization, potential, professionalism, positive
attitude, leadership, integrity and great work ethic and benefit to the program that do not rely on
Although there will be judges for the finale for each language/standup, the producer(s) will determine
the winner based on score, presentation, attitude and punctuality and factors that need to be
considered for someone that will represent the organization for the next year, the best. Highest judge
score isn't the sole considering factor (it's not a pageant).
